SUMMARY:Community Bike Sale
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 19th annual Community Bike Sale! \nThis annual fundraising event started in 2007 and directly supports the Big Back Yard Playground and other recreation opportunities for our community. To date we have collectively “recycled” (found new homes for) more than 3\,300 bikes with the community’s support. \nWe can’t do it without YOU! \n  \nDonations now being accepted for the 2026 Bike Sale! \nWe are in need of donations of gently-used bikes\, trikes\, scooters\, and ride-ons. Our annual sale averages around 150 bikes and brings countless smiles to local families. The heart of this event is all about giving back. Our pay-it-forward objective keeps the bikes local and ensures area families can purchase a gently-used bike for their children\, grandchildren – or for themselves\, at affordable prices. Unsold bikes are donated to The Bike Connector in Lowell\, MA\, extending the life of these bikes and keeping them out of landfills. And for bikes beyond repair? They’re recycled through local scrap metal dealers. \nBikes will be sold mainly as-is to local families\, with only minor adjustments and cleaning. We’re looking for gently-used bikes that are rideable and complete with all their parts. We can handle small fixes like inflating tires\, adjusting brakes\, and tightening bolts\, but we can’t accept bikes missing parts or with any damage (dented frame\, bent wheels\, missing tires\, etc.). \nBikes may be dropped off adjacent to the main entrance of The Fitz anytime until April 25. \nFor more information or to coordinate a drop-off\, email Programs@TheFitz.org and we’ll be in touch within 2 business days. \nVolunteer for the Bike Sale! \nLove helping your community? DESCRIPTION:Pepperell’s annual used bike sale\, hosted by The Fitzpatrick Collaborative\, will be held on Saturday\, April 29\, 2023 starting at 9am. \nCome early for the best selection. The sale will continue only while supplies last. You are welcome to line up early\, but we request everyone remain outside the sale area until 9am. \nDonations Requested!\nWe are in need of bike donations! Bikes must have all parts and be in generally good condition – no damaged frames or wheels\, please. \nFriends of Pepperell Recreation has hosted this community event and successful fundraiser for thirteen years\, through 2019! Over that period\, residents were amazingly wonderful in donating their gently-used bikes\, trikes\, scooters and ride-ons. On average\, they started each sale with about 250 bikes – and were able to “recycle” more than 3\,000 bikes with the community’s support! Since 2021\, The Fitzpatrick Collaborative has hosted this event. \nOur pay-it-forward objective keeps the bikes local and ensures area families can purchase a gently-used bike for their children\, grandchildren – or for themselves\, at affordable prices. All unsold bikes at the end of sales are donated to the Worcester Earn-A-Bike program. Plus\, all those bikes were kept out of the landfills! All while helping us to do great things for Pepperell. \nThank you to our event supporters: \nPepperell business\, R.H. Willson\, has helped us move the donated bikes in preparation for the sale. \nLocal organization\, Worcester Earn-A-Bike\, has helped at our sales with minor repairs and adjustments.

SUMMARY:Community Bike Sale
DESCRIPTION:Pepperell’s annual used bike sale\, hosted by The Fitzpatrick Collaborative\, will be held on Saturday\, May 7\, 2022 starting at 9am. \nCome early for the best selection. The sale will continue only while supplies last. \nDonations Requested!\nWe are in need of bike donations! Bikes must have all parts and be in generally good condition – no damaged frames or wheels\, please. \nFriends of Pepperell Recreation has hosted this community event and successful fundraiser for thirteen years\, through 2019! Over that period\, residents were amazingly wonderful in donating their gently-used bikes\, trikes\, scooters and ride-ons. On average\, they started each sale with about 250 bikes – and were able to “recycle” more than 3\,000 bikes with the community’s support! In 2021 and again in 2022\, The Fitzpatrick Collaborative has hosted this event. \nOur pay-it-forward objective keeps the bikes local and ensures area families can purchase a gently-used bike for their children\, grandchildren – or for themselves\, at affordable prices. All unsold bikes at the end of sales are donated to the Worcester Earn-A-Bike program. Plus\, all those bikes were kept out of the landfills! All while helping us to do great things for Pepperell. \nThank you to our event supporters: \nPepperell business\, R.H. Willson\, has helped us move the donated bikes in preparation for the sale. \nLocal organization\, Worcester Earn-A-Bike\, has helped at our sales with minor repairs and adjustments.

DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Lawrence Library’s Used Book Sale will be held at The Fitz across three days: \nFriday\, May 14: 8am – 8pm\nSaturday\, May 15: 9am – 5pm\nSunday\, May 16: 9am – 3pm \nPrices are as follows: \n\n$2.00 adult/YA hard covers\n$1.00 children’s hard cover chapter books\n$1.00 media\n$0.50 paperbacks (all ages) and picture books\n\nFace masks and use of hand sanitizer required upon entry. Social distancing will be observed\, and contact tracing info will be collected. \nAll proceeds benefits the Friends of the Lawrence Library. Donations are being accepted at the Library. \nCredit cards are accepted for purchases over $15.00.
