Continuing the tradition established by Friends of Pepperell Recreation, The Fitzpatrick Collaborative began hosting the community used bike sale in 2021. Currently, we leverage this fundraiser to directly support the Big Backyard Playground and Recreation-related activities in Pepperell.
We greatly appreciate the community’s support through their donations of gently- used bikes, trikes, scooters, and ride-ons. Our sales have averaged about 250 bikes each year and countless smiles.
The pay-it-forward objective of the sale ensures bikes are kept local and that area families can purchase a gently-used bike for their children, grandchildren, or for themselves, at an affordable price. Unsold bikes are offered to The Bike Connector Lowell MA – keeping them out of the landfill and creating additional opportunities for those wanting a bike. Any bikes which are beyond repair are offered to local scrap metal dealers for recycling.
The 2024 Community Bike Sale will be held on the same day as Pepperell’s Town-Wide Yard Sale.

Bike Donations: Gently-used bikes may be dropped off at The Fitz. Bikes must be rideable and have all parts. We are only able to make minor repairs such as inflating tires. If the brakes don’t work or the wheel is bent, we cannot accept the bike. Please remember, these bikes are being offered as-is to other families!
