A Welcoming Space to Connect, Share Hobbies, and Build Genuine Friendships
Finding genuine community as a young adult should be easy, encouraging, and fun. Fitz Friends Inclusive Social Club offers a welcoming, relaxed environment for adults ages 18 and older, with and without disabilities or social support needs. Centered on kindness, acceptance, and shared experiences, the club gives every participant the opportunity to be themselves while building meaningful local connections.
What to Expect
Each two-hour session is designed to foster natural interaction through engaging activities like tabletop games, creative crafts, and music. As the group grows, activities will evolve around the shared hobbies and interests of the members themselves. Volunteer facilitators lead group activities and keep the energy friendly and inviting. Please note that medical, personal care, and specialized support services are not provided; participants requiring dedicated assistance are welcome to attend with a personal care assistant or caregiver.
Meet Your Facilitator
The club is facilitated by Dawn Chappell, a dedicated educator who has coordinated and advised the Best Buddies program at North Middlesex Regional High School for more than 15 years. Her extensive experience in building inclusive student spaces ensures a warm, supportive atmosphere where every participant feels valued.
