Beginner Guitar for Kids

Join our beginning guitar class and get hooked on guitar! Students will need their own acoustic guitars - they'll be learning simple chords and songs in no time. Level 1 classes begin with an introductory section for 8 weeks. Students may then continue and register for an additional 8 weeks. This program grows into the a Level 2 and 3 classes meet for 16 weeks and explore more advanced chord fingerings and a broader repertoire of material. Have a child who is drawn to the ukulele? Introduce the Ukulele! The Ukulele is amazingly suitable for children. They are small and fairly inexpensive and even better, they are fairly easy to learn to play. Within a few minutes a child with the finger dexterity to press the strings firmly against the fingerboard can learn their first chord and play a couple of Nursery Rhymes they are already familiar with.
