We have made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 summer programs. The decision to remain closed is based on current restrictions put in place by the commonwealth and our desire to ensure we provide a fun, safe, healthy, and enriching experience for our attendees. Our Board of Directors believes we will not be able to operate in a way that would provide everyone a fulfilling experience. Intro to Irish Step Dancing

This class is an introduction to Irish Step dancing. Dancers will learn timing, rhythm, and basic steps to introduce them to the world of Irish dance. Props and games are incorporated in an educational manner to further enhance student comprehension. All students participating in this class MUST be potty trained. Class attire is comfortable clothing such as leggings, leotards, tights, and t-shirts. Ballet slippers required. This class will introduce students to the history of Hip-Hop culture with basic moves for the novice dancer. The style encompasses the movements of break-dancing and body- popping with a concentration on footwork.Clothes for hip hop class should be loose and comfortable. You can wear any kind of shirt or tank top. Long sweatpants are the best option: it's better not to expose the knees, especially if you want to breakdance. Join our beginning guitar class and get hooked on guitar! Students will need their own acoustic guitars - they'll be learning simple chords and songs in no time. Level 1 classes begin with an introductory section for 8 weeks. Students may then continue and register for an additional 8 weeks. This program grows into the a Level 2 and 3 classes meet for 16 weeks and explore more advanced chord fingerings and a broader repertoire of material. Ukulele for older teens and adults - Don't let the kids have all the fun! Teens and adults can learn to play Uke too! Join us to learn how to play ukulele in a social group setting. In Level 1, we'll teach you the basics you need to know to get going on this popular instrument. You'll come away with having a few songs under your fingers and the ability to figure out more tunes on your own. Students should come to the first class with their own Ukulele. Note: Classes run April 3 - May 29, no class April 24.

Have a child who is drawn to the ukulele? Introduce the Ukulele! The Ukulele is amazingly suitable for children. They are small and fairly inexpensive and even better, they are fairly easy to learn to play. Within a few minutes a child with the finger dexterity to press the strings firmly against the fingerboard can learn their first chord and play a couple of Nursery Rhymes they are already familiar with.
