Designed to progressively open the body, each sequence in a Vinyasa yoga class builds upon the previous, evolving into deeper postures as the practice unfolds. Resetting “vinyasas,” are a standard series of poses that transition the yogi back to their home base pose: Downward Facing Dog. Class begins with a short, centering meditation and moves through a series of seated, standing, and supine poses, as well as balancing postures, forward folds, backbends and twists. This class will introduce students to the history of Hip-Hop culture with basic moves for the novice dancer. The style encompasses the movements of break-dancing and body- popping with a concentration on footwork.Clothes for hip hop class should be loose and comfortable. You can wear any kind of shirt or tank top. Long sweatpants are the best option: it's better not to expose the knees, especially if you want to breakdance.
